Visitors and new growers are invited to come along and listen to guest speakers and chat to society members who have many years of experience growing orchids.
Our Show
The Society conducts an Orchid Species show in Spring at the Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens Auditorium, where visitors can see orchid species from around the world.

Plant Sales
Orchid species are available for purchase at monthly meetings and the Spring show. This is an opportunity to add to your collection at very reasonable prices.
Field Trips
From time to time the Society organises field trips to member’s bush houses and to commercial nurseries.
Additional Activities
‘Pot out’ competitions are held where members receive a seedling orchid species from a flask of the same cultivar, and a prize awarded to the first member to flower the orchid. Other interesting activities are held during the year.
